At St Mary Star of the Sea School we aim to provide opportunities for all our children to be able to reach their aspirations, irrespective of their starting point or educational needs. We strive to enable our children to become resilient, well-rounded lifelong learners.
As a school we are mindful of and comply with the Government’s Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice. Every teacher is a teacher of every child, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. We respect the unique contribution, which every individual can make to our school community.
The achievement, attitude and well-being of every child at St Mary Star of the Sea matters and inclusion is the responsibility of everyone within our school.
